Emily Trowel

School Director

Emily Trowel, dance instructor and co-owner of Faith Works Studios was born in Louisville, KY where her dance training began at the age of 5. She has extensive training in ballet, pointe, modern, tap, jazz and choreography.

Emily holds an MFA in performance and choreography from Mills College in Oakland, CA. While in California she performed professionally with Double Vision and P.U.S.H. Productions. Emily received her undergraduate degree in Business with an minor in Dance from Murray State University. She is also a proud graduate of duPont Manual High School where she was a dance major at The Youth Performing Arts School.

She trained locally in Louisville at several local dance studios as well as at The Louisville Ballet School. While studying at the Louisville Ballet, Emily was also a member of the Louisville Ballet Civic Company where she had the opportunity to perform in the Nutcracker and Coppelia. She is also a Governor's School for the Arts alumna. 

  She has over thirty years of training and has served as an instructor and choreographer in Kentucky, Tennessee, Texas and California.

Rush and Emily launched Faith Works Studios in 2015.
