Greetings FWS Families,
It’s hard to believe that our sprig 2018 session is coming to a close! I’ve been so impressed by the girls this session and am excited to share their progress at our recital. Below you will find details regarding class schedule for the remainder of the session, tickets, pictures, dress rehearsal, costumes and recital and more.
CLASSES
Classes will meet for the remainder of the session; that includes oaks and derby day.
Due to the limited number of remaining classes and the importance of rehearsals, please do your best to have you dancer at all remaining classes and please try to arrive ON TIME
TICKETS
We will be selling tickets for this year’s recital to help offset the cost of the production.
-Tickets will be $5 in advance/$7 at the doorfor adults; children grades K-12 are free.
-Each student will receive two complimentary tickets.
Tickets will be available for purchase at the studio before and after classes and at the door the day of recital.
PICTURES
Students will be having pictures taken during dress rehearsal, Saturday, May 12, 2018 by our very talented photographer Shannon Drummand. Students will be photographed individually and with their class. An online gallery will be shared with all families prior to recital. You will be able to view all images and order and download prints through the gallery. Please see the picture schedule below.
DRESS REHEARSAL
Dress rehearsal will be held Saturday, May 12, 2018 from 9-2 and Foster Traditional Academy, 1401 S 41stStreet.Please see the detailed schedule below; students will not be required to stay the entire time.

Students will need to bring their costumes with them to the venue. Please DO NOT come dressed as costumes can become dirty or damaged. Please have hair neatly secured out of the dancers faces and arrive 15 minutes prior to the start of their rehearsal time in order to change into costume. We will start on time!

RECITAL
Our theme this year is Night at the Movies as all of our song selections have come from movies.
Recital is May 19 at 1pm at Foster Traditional Academy, 1401 S 41stStreet.Tickets will go on sale at 12 and seating will begin at 12:30. All dancers need to arrive by 11 in order to get dressed and run through dances before the performance. Please ensure that your dancer is there on time. I will be starting the run through promptly at 11:15 and it is very important that all dancers be present, dressed and ready to go on time.

COSTUMES
- Each student will receive a new costume and new tights for recital. Please do not let your child wear their new tights to class prior to recital.
- Remember that no underwear should be worn under dance tights at any time.
- No eating or drinking in costume, other than water.
- Dry snacks such as crackers and other non-greasy snacks are permitted, but please put a cover up on if your child is in her costume.
- A reminder to not come to dress rehearsal or recital dressed in costume. Bring it with you in the garment bag and plan to get dressed in the dressing room at the venue.
- Please change your dancer out of their costume after the performance as well. We are hoping to line up some additional performances and want to ensure long life of the costumes.
